How to Create, Assign and Filter by People Tags

People Tags are customizable tags that can be created to help group people into categories of your choosing.

Creating Tags from the Settings Page

To get started, open the Settings page and select the Tags tab.

Select + Create New Tag and enter a tag name.

Select Save and you will see your tag in the list.

Create as many tags as you need.  (You can always delete a tag that is not assigned to a person by selecting the X next to the tag name).

Assigning / Creating Tags on Person Profile Page

Navigate to a person's profile page and select Edit Details. You'll see the Tags selector under the Description textbox.

When you click inside the Tags selector, you'll see a list of available tags

Select the Tag to be assigned and it will appear as a Tag in the Tag selector.

You can add multiple Tags...

And you can create a new Tag right in the tag selector by typing the new Tag name...

And selecting Enter.

Batch Assigning Tags in the People Indexes

Open a People Index.  In this example, I opened Leads.  Select two or more Leads

Select the Tag button and you will see the Tag Search box. When you click inside the Tags selector, you'll see a list of available tags

Select the Tag to be assigned and it will appear as a Tag in the Tag selector.

Select Save and the Tag will be assigned to all the selected Leads.  Refresh the page and you will see the Tags icon on the right side of the index.  Hover over the Tags icon and you will see all tags assigned to that person.

Filtering by Tags in the People Indexes

From a People Index, select the Filter (or Filtered) button.  You will see the Filter control.

All available Tags for filtering are available for selection. Select each Tag you would like to include in the filtered results and then select Filter

Your index results will now be filtered by the selected Tags.
